All our Cuban film posters are from editions hand-printed by ICAIC: Instituto Cubano de Artes Industrias Cinematografia in their Taller Seriagrafia (silkscreen workshop) in Havana. Distinguishable from cheap reproductions by their matt finish and highly evocative inky smell, these posters are becoming increasingly rare and collectable.
This beautiful mid-century poster was originally issued for Julio Espinosa's 1961 drama 'Cuba Baila' (Cuba dance). Design is by celebrated Cuban graphic artist Eduardo Muñoz Bachs.
